Werewolf Déluge ~ D.B.Redpath

Snapseed.jpg“Keep on walking!”

I saw a werewolf

with a hymn book in his hand

prowling around

sniffing the ground

from Jonestown to Gaza

He’s that well manicured gent

Some say he’s heaven sent

I’d like to meet his tailor

You can hear him howling

on your television set

Better not turn it on

Little old lady got bitten

late last night

Werewolves of oblivion, again

  1. Profound and sublime David! 👌 All your poems are in depth meaning and I feel awkward commenting on them as I think my words are not enough to describe how well you penned each and every post. I’m putting my confidence up this time.

    1. Thank you very much, Graci.
It is very nice to hear from you.
I feel the poetic is posted with
      great reservation, and trepidation.
      Always the question . . .
To fly like the wind, or stay put
      like a pedestrian of reservation.
Graci, I always find writing inspiring.

      1. Truly it is.. and it shows on each craft you do David.. I’ve noticed that you don’t post often, but it’s worth the wait and the time to spend reading.. your statements are quite bold and brave.. and may be.. it will take me time and more experience to achieve that level. Personally, I have a lot of things I want to bring up like most of my writings I keep on my diary as I don’t have enough confidence to put my foot forward.

      2. It is a balancing act, Graci.
In this age of instant publication,
it is good to use discretion,
and get trusted feedback, prior to pushing the button.
But then, tis good to revel in the precious freedom of expression.
