  1. Oh. my. GOD!!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
That was the biggest LOL I have had all morning. And I have had a blessed lot of them.

I started out feeling all “oh my, sew speaking my language πŸ§΅πŸ˜†”
And so practical, (so conforming, so uniforming,) so good for humanity… πŸ’šπŸ™πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†

But then to be spotting that dΓ©rriΓ¨re — I laughed and laughed,
    oh so heartily.

    Thanks for this hilarious how-to.
    With sew-stunning artistry. πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒπŸ€£

    1. Glad to be of self isolating service,
Lia πŸ’› Yes, Stefan (my No.2 son)
      has been most industrious during
the lock down. Not only with needle
and thread, but he’s taken to giving
      cooking lessons online.

    1. Captivity does strange things to
men, and small furry animals, Sarah.
I’m thinking of getting an exercise
wheel big enough for the entire
family. As an anthropologist, of the
free-range variety, it is my task to simply observe πŸ‘€

  2. thanks for the info, David; I haven’t got around to wearing a face mask yet; you see a few in the mall but most haven’t adopted this form of attire in good old, no cases-in-seven-days Adelaide πŸ™‚

      1. Yes, I believe Aristotle
        was quoting Socrates πŸ€”
        And of course, Sergeant Schultz
        from Hogan’s Heroes, abbreviated
it to, “I know nothing!” 😎

  3. one of my favourites, David, was one he did with Derek and the Dominoes, the album ‘Layla’ with its title track. the full version, not the radio edit. It just blows me away every time i hear it — and that amazing segue between the vocal and the instrumental parts πŸ™‚ it’s my favourite instrumental track alongside the much earlier, ‘Last Date’ by Floyd Cramer, a session player for some of Presley’s early recordings; do you know it, David?

    1. Duane Allman, of the Allman
      Brothers, played guitar on Layla,
      with Eric Clapton, to produce
that epic rock classic. He was
      the pre-eminent session guitarist
at the time, till he was sadly killed
in a motorcycle accident In 1971,
just a year after recording ‘Derek
and the Dominos’. One of my all
      time favourite albums is ‘Duane
      Allman – An Anthology’.

I’ve got the ‘Million Dollar Quartet’
on CD, featuring Elvis Presley,Β Jerry Lee Lewis,Β Carl Perkins, andΒ Johnny Cash.Β But I’m not familiar with
      Floyd Crammer’s work.

  4. Yes, that’s definitely the end all right.
It seems to confirm a little known theory that it was a gay 17th Century Cardinal’s boyfriend’s chastity belt that served as the basis for the contraption on the Man In The Iron Mask in Alexandre Dumas’ famous tale.
