    That was the biggest LOL I have had all morning. And I have had a blessed lot of them.

    I started out feeling all “oh my, sew speaking my language 🧵😆”
    And so practical, (so conforming, so uniforming,) so good for humanity… 💚🙏😉😆

    But then to be spotting that dérrière — I laughed and laughed,
    oh so heartily.

      has been most industrious during

      and thread, but he’s taken to giving

  20. thanks for the info, David; I haven’t got around to wearing a face mask yet; you see a few in the mall but most haven’t adopted this form of attire in good old, no cases-in-seven-days Adelaide 🙂

  24. one of my favourites, David, was one he did with Derek and the Dominoes, the album ‘Layla’ with its title track. the full version, not the radio edit. It just blows me away every time i hear it — and that amazing segue between the vocal and the instrumental parts 🙂 it’s my favourite instrumental track alongside the much earlier, ‘Last Date’ by Floyd Cramer, a session player for some of Presley’s early recordings; do you know it, David?

    1. Duane Allman, of the Allman
      Brothers, played guitar on Layla,
      with Eric Clapton, to produce
      that epic rock classic. He was
      the pre-eminent session guitarist
      at the time, till he was sadly killed
      in a motorcycle accident In 1971,
      just a year after recording ‘Derek
      and the Dominos’. One of my all
      time favourite albums is ‘Duane
      Allman – An Anthology’.

      I’ve got the ‘Million Dollar Quartet’
      on CD, featuring Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash. But I’m not familiar with
      Floyd Crammer’s work.

  28. Yes, that’s definitely the end all right.
    It seems to confirm a little known theory that it was a gay 17th Century Cardinal’s boyfriend’s chastity belt that served as the basis for the contraption on the Man In The Iron Mask in Alexandre Dumas’ famous tale.
