We’re currently in hard lock down,
here in Victoria, Australia. Being an
island we initially had the virus just
about eliminated, with citizens
returning from overseas put up at
hotels for a mandatory two week
quarantine, at taxpayer’s expense.
By June, many of these stragglers
still returning from Corona hotspots
4 months into a pandemic, brought
the virus back with them. The idea
of hotel quarantine should work …
unless the security guards, with no
training, contracted from bogus fly
by night private security companies,
HAVE SEX WITH THE RETURNEES!
Obviously it must get rather boring
locked up in a hotel room for two
weeks, for both the returnees and
those paid to guard them. So now
we are experiencing a second wave
down under (no pun intended 😎).
True story, Liz. The government has
even launched an official inquiry
into the whole fiasco.
Oh, my God. How could anyone be so stupid? What this pandemic has shown me is that the stupidity of the human race knows no bounds. I am so sorry to hear that the virus is back among you after the country had gotten it under control. Unbelievable.
You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

Thank you. Thus far, the state officials in NH have been sensible about keeping people safe.

I take no responsibility, Chris.
Anything resembling a haiku
by me is purely by accident 😎
