David-19

“I’m a hog for you, baby.
Can’t get enough of your love.
When I go to sleep at night
That’s what I’m dreaming of.
One little piggie went to London.
One little piggie went to Hong Kong.
This little piggie’s
Comin’ over to your house
Wee wee wee be makin’ whoopee
Cookin’ that cracklin’
Makin’ sweet lovin’ bacon
All night long.
One little piggie ate pizza.
One little piggie ate potato chips.
This little piggie’s
Comin’ over your house, mamma.
Gonna level with your sweet lips.”

      1. Sigh…me too.
I think I’ll be back beginning of September. I posted a little poem today, it was needed!
Happy to hear the clan is well.
Miss being here writing and just being Me ❤️

      2. Your poetry inspires me, Fiery.
        Mostly I’m mute and sedentary,
just like that Bob Dylan song …

        What’s the matter with me
I don’t have much to say
        Daylight sneaking through the window
And I’m still in this all-night café
Walking to and fro beneath the moon
Out to where the trucks are rolling slow
To sit down on this bank of sand
And watch the river flow 😎

      3. I love that… He always knew just what people with love in their hearts needed to hear💜
I adore that I inspire you.
I’ve always felt there’s something Muse-y about me
        ❤️🥰

      4. You certainly qualify as a modern day
Erato, Muse of love poetry. Though
you have penned some classics, which
is more down to Calliope, Muse of
heroic or epic poetry. She’s portrayed
in Greek mythology holding a writing
tablet. So she wrote her own original
material, not just inspiring it ☑️😎

    1. Apart from going stir crazy . . .
I couldn’t be better, thanks Basilike.
We’re in extreme lock down here in
      southern Winterland Antarctica 🔒
The Virus snuck out of the Quantine
Hotel, and is now running amok 😷
I should’ve headed off to Santorini
when I had the chance ✈️
      Just my luck 🚫😢
We could be sipping dry martinis
      by the Aegean 🍸🍸
But I can still dream 😎💤

  1. I had never heard this song before that I know of…
fun to study the original and your mods.
I like your revised last line a lot. :)))
    Seeing the music vid brought it to life;
and I’m loving the washboard too 🤩🎶
    So, in love’s edu-kitchen, David,

cook up some pasta 🍜 😎
Actually, I first heard that song
on a podcast hosted by Bob Dylan!
He was playing all his favourite
      songs about food 🍗🍕🍔🍟🌮

    1. That’s swell, Elle 😎
I’m sure Clifton had a big influence
on Bob Dylan’s later recordings, up
till he manifested his inner crooner.
Just don’t tell Clifton I’ve played
around with his lyrics 🤫 🕶️

      1. 🎶The security guards
        they threw a party
        at the Quarantine Hotel
        The virus testers
        and contact tracers
        they began to wail
        Perhaps Chairman Dan
        should be going to jail
        For the Australian Army
        he refused to use
        He should be singing
        them Jailhouse Blues 🎶
