      They were an intrinsic part of the
      bohemian music scene here in
      Melbourne, Australian, way back
      before disco killed the jug band
      (not that I remember them ever

    1. Salvador Dali, and Pablo Picasso,
      were both prolific watercolourists.
      I was delighted to discover this
      when visiting some of the galleries
      dedicated to these two artists in
      Spain and France. A cautionary
      word of warning though, Michelle,
      some of Picasso’s works are rather
      pornographic 🤔

      My conclusion is that death’s honesty
      will ultimately cure all delusion.
      Yet, life itself is no illusion when seen
      from a divine perspective. Positive
      creation, and negative destruction,
      spiralling in tandem throughout
      time and space.

        I’ve been flat out like a lizard 🦎
        drinking (not actually drinking 🍺
        working).
        From the cradle to the grave we
        all employ masks whilst navigating
        this life. Some are imposed on us
        by social engineering and cultural
        circumstances, while others are
        adopted by choice. The way we
        choose to interface with the world.
        Yet when confronting eternity, all
        masks are rendered useless and
        must be left behind, exposing the
        true self. Masks can be a means of
        protection, but they can also limit
        spiritual growth.

  27. Those are great watercolours you have below the photos of the high cats, David.

    They remind me of the Salvador Dali watercolours of scenes from Dante’s Divine Comedy that my dad had which my sister grabbed first before me after he died.

    As for the high cat photos, I was imagining your Uncle Ernie passing a cat in his kitty litter and he imagines the cat singing to him those Johnny Paycheck lyrics, “Put a little something in the kitty and I’ll sing and dance for you…”.

    So Uncle Ernie does put a little something in the kitty.

    And sure enough the cat does sing and dance for him.

      in the sandbox, Uncle Ernie named his
      two cats Kitty O’Neal and Kitty Sharpe
      in honour of the two dancers who
      made sand jigging, a dance performed
      as a series of slides and shuffles on a
      sand strewn floor, so popular back in
      the 19th century (when Uncle Ernie,
      being a notorious kitty fiddler, was
      known to frequent dance halls of
      ill repute). Plus, Kitty Sharpe does
      like to scratch 🐱
