The Diamond Creek Dogs

Social Distancing . . .
Diamond Creek Doggie Style

Where there’s a shortage of PPE
( Puppy Play Equipment 🐢 )

The Proud Dad … Prince Harry
A successful interracial marriage

So we adopted Oki πŸ–€

who loves to eat,

sleep,

. . . and watch TV
consequently, Oki grew very quickly!

Unlike a certain puppy
known as Skye with Diamonds πŸ’Ž

Here dogs come in all shapes

. . . and sizes

Skye is a bit of a long haired hippy

So we took her to the beauty parlour

filling Oki with envy

of those with lovely long locks

Around Diamond Creek there are plenty

Anyway … Oki keeps herself busy

as a part time cattle dog

and an out gunned sheep dog
(rescued friends here to eat grass)

who found love at first bite

How could she resist?

Love is a wet lick to the lips πŸ‘… 😎

      1. We adopted a dog from a shelter, he was returned 4 times because he didn’t show immediate affection. He was very mistreated by whoever originally had him. Loud noises terrified him, cars or trucks frightened him when we’d walk him, he was afraid to eat in front of anyone, we fed him in a room by himself. It took 6 months for him to come around. He doesn’t know how to play with toys, no matter how many times we’ve tried. He now wants to chase the UPS truck and motorcycles when we walk him lol. I’d just like to beat the crap out of the person who abused him so badly. He’s such a good boy. We love our dogs and 2 cats Sid (from the shelter) and Finn was a 10 week old kitten when we found him. They give so much love and joy.

      2. A very happy ever after story, Elle.
        Some humans have absolutely no
humanity. I’ve come to some kind
of conclusion that the way we’ve
        treated animals, the defenceless,
        the helpless, and the innocent,
during our brief lifespan is part
of an acid soul test … and a much
        bigger plan πŸ€”

      1. Thank you for your kind condolences, David! They mean so much to me! Our Fur Baby was a part of the family and we will always hold the joy and memories she brought us in our hearts!!
This was a really great post. I can’t tell you how it means to me to have you post that song by Tom T. Hall in your comment. I love it and it is especially meaningful now! We are working through it a day at a time!
        Thank You, My Friend!!

does exist, Chuck …. for dogs
and for cats 🐢🐱 Perhaps even
        a Rainbow Royal Racecourse for
every loyal horse, of course 😎

      1. Especially when the moon if full πŸŒ•

        All my friends
        are well bred canines
        immaculately groomed
        yet sadly rather tame
As for poets from good homes
        I know they exist . . . but honestly
I just can’t remember their names
        Poetry from a chain gang
is what it takes to break rocks
        To capture insanity
        in a sparkling picture frame
        Like Mick Jagger dancing
        in his space cotton socks

      2. After sticking my hand
        in the pocket of chance
        I can see there’s a plan
        covering the madness
        of every circumstance
        the hectic and the poetic
        the tranquil and the manic
so I’m busy with the task
        of walking on sunshine
        tripping over carbon
        and drowning in plastic
        as I’m now pandemically positive
that true love is the vaccine
and like a needle in a haystack
        . . . I need a hit

      3. 😎 grazie tanto mon ami
i am so glad you will soon be free
as free as the eagles in the sky
that often wonder why why why
are the earthlings just creating such a mess
despite all the beauty they possess
maybe possessing is the problem after all
why isnt everyone just kind to the world and having a ball?
let me know what you and the eagles discuss
i ll leave you to it, thusπŸ’š

      4. Way up in the sky
upon the wings of an eagle
        there’s an endless high
        beyond life’s daily struggle
To see the wonder of creation
        from an atmosphere
        without fear
        in true freedom
        without wall or border
        without war and disorder
Through the eye of the storm
        tribe against tribe
        nation against nation
        hell bent on destruction
        Life is a journey
Upon the wings of an eagle
through the eye of a needle
        I can see the destination
        in the beauty of creation
        God’s beckoning reflection
To be a rock and not to roll
        To be a seed planted
        growing and blooming
in the holy soil of Eden’s garden

    1. Thank you, Miriam.
There is a Diamond Creek north
      of Melbourne, near Hurstbridge,
      but this Diamond Creek flows
      through my imagination. As to
which creek is more polluted, I
guess thats a matter of opinion 😎
