Yes indeed, Punam. In fact, the
future is where I’m off to. You’re
always welcome to come along π
And I’ve always had a crush
on Blue Velvet … the movie π
Gorgeous image! Feeling blue is usually not my preferred way to start the weekend…:P
but this type of flowers-weaving-themselves-into-Mr.RedpathΒ΄s head- is quite cool to look at! And blue is a cool color, so voila. Lol. Abrazos andaluces (PS: How long do DylanΒ΄s songs stay in oneΒ΄s mind? ItΒ΄s been like a week of humming this song you quoted haha)
Β‘Hola! And thank you for such a civil
Seville style Andalusian greeting π
To answer your question, Gypsy,
I always find the way get a Dylan
song out of my head is to put another
one straight back in π
My pleasure, I try being civil at times π
That technique of yours is a good one-
there is no sun this week
the sky is looking a little bleak
so music and words of beauty to fill up the soul
leads one back to feeling whole:)
Thanks for your offering of Bob
itΒ΄s so beautiful but I wonΒ΄t sob
but give you thanks for teaching me
the Dylan ways
aka the music sunshine rays π
πΆ π Ay ay ay ay is my Mexican reply
Inspiracion a la Bob Dylan
he is surely not a villain
but a master of a million lines
and some pretty decent rhymes π
And all the lights are shining
on the sea
As the rolling waves crash
along the beach
And our minds were meant to sail
Take a rest from our thoughts
Take a brake from this world
And we’ll feel miles away
From the places that we used to be

I do too Resa π΅ It’s one of
my favourite Multiple Michael
elsies (that’s when someone
else does the artwork, rather
than a selfie portrait π¨) π
I never realized it until now, David, because you’re always wearing sunglasses, but if that portrait is correct and your eyes are blue , then you’re the spitting image of a friend of mine in Edmonton.
His father was the publisher of the newsmagazine I used to work for.
“Mine eyes have read the story
of the second coming of the Lord”
(πΆ to the of John Brown’s Body)
No, Chis. My eyes are hazel π
A bit of Michael’s artist licence π¨
But I assume your friend must look
just like Johnny Depp in his movie
‘What’s Eating Gilbert Grape’ π
His eyes are hazel too.
“He is trampling out the vintage
whereΒ the grapes of wrathΒ are
stored.
He hath loosed the fateful lightning
of His terrible swift sword:
His truth is marching on.”
(Jesus … not Johnny Depp)
Actually What’s Eating Gilbert Grape is one Johnny Depp movie I’ve never seen before.
Or even heard of until now I must admit.
My friend also has a singing voice that very much resembles that of Josh Groban.
Do you have a singing voice like Josh Groban, David?
Wow amazing compilation

accomplished visual artist , but a
wordsmith of deeply profound prose.

I lived with them
on Montague Street
In a basement down the stairs
There was music in the cafΓ©s at night
And revolution in the air
Then he started into dealing with slaves
And something inside of him died
She had to sell everything she owned
And froze up inside
And when finally the bottom fell out
I became withdrawn
The only thing I knew how to do
Was to keep on keepin’ on
Like a bird that flew
Tangled up in blue

Then well deserve are these words
from one of the deepest Winter love
songs I have ever heard. That even
includes a splash of blue π …
Twilight on the frozen lake
North wind about to break
On footprints in the snow
Silence down below.
You’re beautiful beyond words
You’re beautiful to me
You can make me cry
Never say goodbye.
Time is all I have to give
You can have it if you choose
With me you can live
Never say goodbye.
My dreams are made
of iron and steel
With a big bouquet
Of roses hanging down
From the heavens to the ground.
The crashing waves roll over me
As I stand upon the sand
Wait for you to come
And grab hold of my hand.
Oh, baby, baby, baby blue
You’ll change your last name, too
You’ve turned your hair to brown
Love to see it hangin’ down.
~ Bob Dylan

I’ve spent a long time perfecting
my Bob Dylan vocal impersonation.
My wife hates it ’cause I got that
hill billy twang just right π©
I suspect the book ‘What’s Eating
Gilbert Grape’ , by Peter Hedge, is
a perhaps tongue in cheek 70 year
jump into the future hommage to
the great John Steinbeck novel,
The Grapes of Wrath. But then, I’m
not an American, so what would I
know? π€
Anyway, if you are intending to view
the movie don’t invite Pan Goatee
to watch it with you. Your TV set is
sure to end up in 999 trillion pieces.
