🔷 Marmoris
The artist a soul hungry feverishly feeding a greedy canvas the pigments of eternity A fleeting glimpse of elusive perfection Pieces torn from the swirling vortex of creation by the sheer force of imagination Upon the surface of a broken existence an imperfect reflection Ever a piece missing In the blinding light the artist incomplete in an endless fight against the dark temptation of sweet oblivion
Armageddon City (Redux)
. . . by Tanmay Philip

Gurus walking the streets Hungry for lean meat Hungry for treats Standing by the doomsayer For the photo-shoot They need a good contrast “Run fast! Don’t look back!” When the storm comes raging In Armageddon City Screams the mad soul While the gurus offer Awakening For their daily wages Self proclaimed sages Offering medical degrees But never for free While the lunatic screams Flee! Flee! From this city Ignore him please And welcome To Armageddon City […]
Armageddon City

As for me … I’m on safari, fleeing Armageddon City.
Rest in peace dear Tanmay

Lovers ~ Before and After {Redux)

ISIS of CRISIS
It now seems
so very long ago
I travelled
that tempestuous path
blessed by the wrath
of a jealous Osiris
that led to Har Məgīddō
where I first met Isis
the serene queen
of my karmic crisis
torn from a dream
at the frenzied height
of a broken séance
There at the Mirage Oasis
she laid in wait
bare naked
her voluptuous form
born of the Nile
Greeting me in style
with her crystalline smile …
“Hello Sailor!
Any port in a storm?”
That Cat is High (Redux)
Right
~ A Subversive Opus by Cara

I love the broken
I love the fall from grace
I love the out of sync
I love the mess
and the mud
and the doubt
and the dirt
I make love to failure
And asymmetry
and the just-a-little, little off
I love the missed details
And the mistaken
I love the lost
I love the forgotten
I love the spilled
And the leaking
I pray for the hopeless […]

A Poetic Warning (Revisited)

In a former life
One of chaos and disorder
Through a cosmic haze
Of bloodshed and strife
I well remember
A pilgrimage metaphysical
Seeking wisdom ancient
And knowledge mystical
From a secret agent
By the mythical code name
Brainwave Alpha
“First … you need learn how to fly,
if indeed, you wish to kiss the sky.”
The Used Lover Blues (1)

An Olympic Heartbreak (Redux)
In a time of epic turmoil
and unsurpassable bliss
I once had this fair goddess
my diaphanous lover
from far off Mount Olympus
Was it all that wrong?
She knew how to play
my favourite song
upon her golden lyre
setting my heart on fire
with unquenchable desire
all night long
He Eat Dolce Vita (Revised ’26)

He fly da vulture
He do stranger danger
He swamp da monster
He got winner envy
He lose by plenty
(Back in Twenty-Twenty
a geriatric beauty contest for
the filthy wealthy rich only)
From one son
Of a carpetbagger
To another son
Of a used car salesman
He cry loudly “Mummy!”
Now he ‘Don da Teflon’

The Used Lover Blues (2)

An Aegean Odysseum (Redux)
Once I had lover
of Olympian splendour
Nightly she would come to me
as the goddess Aphrodite
in a full blown frenzy
of insatiable desire
Lost in her lustful pleasure
I was driven half crazy
(Aphrodite being half human)
Yet at the break of dawn
she’d miraculously transform
into Athena
Zeus’s warlike daughter
the born again virgin
with her divinity fully intact
all pent up
in a vesuvian rage
and ready to attack
Her bronze age wisdom
wielded as a deadly weapon
Was I just her Troy Boy to be used
and then abandoned come the morning?
