    However, were I to suggest any change, it would be a simple one: Replace all instances of ‘He’ with ‘Me’, on the grounds that it would provide the proper perspective for the orange 💩’s egocentrism.

  8. The form this poem takes reminds me of “We Real Cool” by Gwendolyn Brooks. As for the content, it’s spot-on, as any sentient being could confirm. Watching the news this week, I fear that even when Trump is gone, the Trumpism he spawned won’t be, and they have an abundance of weapons, a paucity of brains, and no moral compass. A very, very dangerous combination.

  11. Your artwork is fabulous. When I reached the end of the poem, I was thinking about how the poem plays with including and excluding verbs. When I saw the image, it stopped me in my tracks because it was a person who was still but was being pierced by the line. There is both stillness and movement, which made me think about the lines in your poem that are both still (no verbs) and in motion (with verbs.) – L.J.

I’ve been actively hopping on the thick cloud of Love and Prayers constantly surrounding the planet. I seriously believe although we don’t see it many places we look within society…there is a major force of healing and transformation occurring. Like childbirth…painful, messy and completely beyond our comprehension. I have to believe this. And even if I’m wrong, for me personally, it’s a great place to put my energy at this time. We’ve all got to do whatever feels right in our hearts. Egad, though, the challenges around the planet are A LOT to live with, take in and to process!!! It’s impossible to know what to do at times.       1. More of a tragedy than a comedy I fear. The king has been proclaimed but not yet crowned. There’s been a few attempts to take him out recently and I’m sure they ain’t done yet. My money is on DJV ascending the throne – sooner or later. Watch this space. I didn’t watch / follow any of this farce either before or after the fact. My belief is that the outcome had already been decided long ago.
