JADED 💚

The kingdoms of experience
In the precious wind they rot
While paupers change possessions
Each one wishing for what the other has got
And the princess and the prince
Discuss what’s real and what is not
It doesn’t matter inside the Gates of Eden

      1. I had no idea that ASIO knew about my relationship with my mysterious Chinese lover. 😮
They must be a pretty damned good spy agency.
Either that or at least one of Uncle Ernie’s shaman Don Juan Carlos Castaneda Mexican mushroom telepathic remote viewing and ESP experiments turned out to be a success.

      2. That would be a great name for a new band the Permanently Unhinged Doors 👁️ 🚪 👁️ of Perception.
Vinyl records are currently enjoying a revival in Canada. A new album 💿 could come out for the band – the credits on the album could read: Produced by A, Studio Recorded By B, Sound Edited by C, Backward Masking by Q-Anon and Drugs by Uncle Ernie

      3. You know that Uncle Ernie was the
        inspiration behind Pink Floyd’s song,
‘Wish You Were Here’. The band had
just run out of their usual source of
        “inspiration”, but unfortunately for
them old Uncle Ernie had booked into
the Hotel California and could never
leave. That was until he did a deal
with the concierge, a man with very
        hairy legs. Interestingly, Uncle Ernie
        hasn’t aged a day since then 🤔🕶️

    1. Thanks for the reminder that Eden,
      somewhere west of Dystopia, was
      where Elizabeth Taylor got her
      diamond encrusted charisma 💎
James Dean was fondly referred to
by those who knew him intimately
as The Human Ashtray 🚬 But that’s
      another story, Timothy. Not to
mention him driving his 550 Spyder
all the way to another dimension,
      leaving behind a John Steinbeck
      wreck In his wake.

      1. Then there’s Steve Miller, “I’m a smoker. I’m a Joker. I’m a midnight toker!” He got his lovin’ on the run, but didn’t want to hurt no one.

    1. Hulk Hogan has me on the run, Liz 😱
But, being a poor Aussie boy, I’m just
hoping I’m safe where I is, far away
from that strange Wizard of Oz 🤔🕶️
The Orange Grinch who promises to
      make Oz great again 🍊

    1. Sadly, too late to have James Dean
starring in it ⭐ Or Shirley Temple
      flying like a tapdancing angel 🙏 😇
      Nowadays everyone is going crazy
for Ariana Grande in ‘Wicked’ 🤔🕶️
I guess Donald Trump has already
made OZ great again, as promised 😎
Speaking of carnival hucksters, this is
my favourite line from ‘Gates of Eden’.

      With a time-rusted compass blade
      Aladdin and his lamp
      Sits with Utopian hermit monks
Side saddle on the Golden Calf
And on their promises of paradise
      You will not hear a laugh . . .
All except inside the Gates of Eden

  1. Great song.
A very talented artist is Bob. I walk past this gallery frequently and they often have one of his in the window About Bob Dylan | Castle Fine Art Though out of my price range (as everything is when you’re on a Pommie state pension!) some of them are quite reasonably priced (depending on how you gauge ‘reasonableness’ of course).

    1. The Poet Laureate of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Dylan did the artwork for several of
his album covers, including ‘Oh Mercy’,
and ‘Self Portrait’. But I suspect he was
told by his manager, “Stick to your day
      job, Bob!” 😎

  2. To my fellow bloggers. Sorry for my blogging inactivity these past months. A lot on our plate with this big move from the San Diego area to Oceanside, CA. Now to see who’s till out there.
    Have a wonderful day!
