  1. A lovely somertime Christmas down under. Congratulations on the new addition to the family. That’s a great tree. We have never had a traditional Christmas tree in over 40 years of marriage. Looks like auntie KΓ‘ra went over to the wild side. Excellent songs for the post.

    1. Thanks, Timothy πŸ™ Young Finn
is following a family tradition of
tipping the scales as a heavyweight
      championship baby πŸ‘ΆπŸ†πŸ˜Ž
Auntie KΓ‘ra is also sticking to a
      long cherished family tradition by
spending some hard time in the
      county jail πŸ€”πŸ•ΆοΈ

      1. It all seems very Australian. Champion babies and babes in the clink to be humbled for 30 days. I just hope your jails are more civilized than ours. I was in the super max high-security prison a few weeks ago. Had you heard of the prison riots in 1980 at the NM State Penitentiary? The worst prison riots in US history. I was in one of the replacement facilities. Not a nice place to end up in for long-term incarceration.

      2. Johnny Cash should’ve written a song
about that! Perhaps even ‘Ten Years In
A Syrian Prison’ 🎢 Or ‘Alcatraz And All
        That Jazz ~ The Musical’ ? πŸ€”πŸ•ΆοΈ
The British did colonize Australia as a
convict day care centre, since all their
prisons were full to the brim. Little
did they realise that Australia is a
        Gangsta Paradise 😎

I don’t like to hear the word ‘Grandfather’
in reference to myself (as I’m much too
young, of course 😎), but I’m having to
get used to it the twelfth time around

      1. Twice for me. I requested “Grammy” (I dreamed of winning one as a young songwriter) but they’ve shortened it to Gram Gram. ^^ Lovely pics, too, I meant to say. You have a beautiful family.

      A Scottish (patriarchal) proverb …
“You can never have too many
sons to carry on the family name.
      Whereas daughters will send you
      broke and drive you insane.”πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ•ΆοΈ
      But only a politically incorrect

I have four sons, no daughter.
        An old local saying…
β€œ A son is a son until he gets a wife
A daughter is a daughter for life.”
But whoever quoted that saying is right.

  2. I spent a fair few Christmas’s in Oz in the past. I used to quite like it there as it’s not done to death like it is here. Also nice to wear shorts, tee shirt and flip-flops in December (thongs being something else to a Pom!)

      1. I remember one trip to Auckland where I arrived on a ‘a hot day’ @ 21 degrees and the airport transfer bus driver had the AC on full blast. In the UK I just open the friggin’ window if I’m hot ffs! FYI I did 8 years in Kuwait, one of the hottest places on Earth with midsummer temps high 40’s / low 50’s. I spent more than half my 70+ years in hot places. My ideal UK temp is about 28 degrees – no AC required with shorts, tee shirt and flip-flops / thongs mandatory.

Island … but as a freeman. Invercargill,

monsters go to die and backpackers
surrender all hope of a warm salvation πŸ₯ΆπŸ•ΆοΈ

  3. You look so young, David, you just don’t age, my friend. The baby is so precious, what a wonderful Christmas with a new baby, and I love the music. We were jamming out with the “The Old Man Down The Road”. I haven’t heard that song in years, and we both knew it. Great tree and it looked like a wonderful gathering of family. Big hugs to you and the family my friend, many blessings. Joni
