🔷 Marmoris
The artist a soul hungry feverishly feeding a greedy canvas the pigments of eternity A fleeting glimpse of elusive perfection Pieces torn from the swirling vortex of creation by the sheer force of imagination Upon the surface of a broken existence an imperfect reflection Ever a piece missing In the blinding light the artist incomplete in an endless fight against the dark temptation of sweet oblivion

🔷 Incongruent
Words like flowers
arranged in a picture frame
Poets from good homes
I know they exist
… but I can never
remember their names
The lyrical moans
of a Memphis chain gang
… perhaps
that’s what it takes
to break the rocks
To overcome the hard knocks
of hatred and injustice
To express the rebellion
brewing
just below the surface
of weaponized
confirmation bias
To expose
the nefarious purpose
of engineered bedlam
A sleight of hand distraction
from industrialized slaughter
The sacred motto
of my old Alma Mater
“Protect The Royal Us
From The Unholy Them.”
where the Master
with the whip hand
never stops to explain
or to take away the pain
of a corrupted world system

under the influence of writing
awake and aware that reality is looped
we describe this and that with sounds
hunger pushes the tribe forward
the wounded left behind
agony tongues the night
coming ashore at your local library
words settle into retirement
THE SHORELESS OCEAN OF WORDS
–the shoreless ocean of words–
THE SHORELESS OCEAN OF WORDS
the winds carry clues too light to rest
on a surface
in constant
motion

🔷 We fearless few
who’ve gone to sea
with the familiar
even the strange
forever changed
miraculously rearranged
by a higher reality
endlessly
uncontained
May the Spirit guide you
past all that’s false
towards all that’s true
What will be will be
May heaven’s angels
protect you
as they have done for me
God’s grace at great cost
is abundant … and free
“He has made everything beautiful
in its time. He has set eternity in
the human heart.” – King Solomon

For a visual artist, Michael does have
a poetic way with words.
Thanks for reading our collaboration, Liz.

Our next project is going be a

Well, I tried to leave a comment, but it didn’t go through. Here goes a second try. So, I’m thinking it’s about the movie The Good, the Bad, the Ugly, and someone must light their britches on fire at some point. And because there was never a proper sequel made for the movie; I’m guessing Eastwood wants the rights so he can create one.

The greatest spaghetti westerns of all
time. It deserves a sequel, so it’s down
to Multiple Michael and me to give one
🤠 😎 (and I do love spaghetti).

And I just learned where the term “spaghetti westerns” comes from. Who knew? lol…
