Democracy don’t rule the world
You better get that in your head
This world is ruled by violence
But I guess that’s better left unsaid

    1. Relics from the Land Before Time,
      before the Great Enlightenment …
      which obviously hasn’t happened yet.
I think we may still be in the Realm
      of Delusional Entitlement πŸ€”πŸ•ΆοΈ
Yes, the Caped Crusader πŸ¦‡ needs
to do something about that, Liz πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

    1. According to the latest geological
research, there was a time before land.
The Earth was under water, so there
needs to be a sequel. ‘Water World’
doesn’t count as it’s set in the future
…. and it stars Kevin Costner πŸ˜πŸ•ΆοΈ

  1. I live in Alaska, so guns are just part of the lifestyle. However, the opinion that guns are a necessary accompaniment to one’s daily attire still bothers me. If you are fearful enough to have to grocery shop with a gun on your belt, I do not trust that you are not fearful enough to know when it’s use is appropriate. Loved this presentation. Those ads!!

    1. Sarah Palin told me that in Alaska
happiness is a warm gun 😎
Here in Australia, it’s only the
police and criminals who carry guns.
Sometimes at the same time πŸ’₯
      We banned automatic rifles years
ago, unless you’ve a good reason
to have one, such as farmers and
      Sunday school teachers πŸ€”πŸ•ΆοΈ

    1. As the song goes, everything
old is new again . . . or was that
a Requiem For Civilization I just
heard playing? But what I really
want to know is who turned out
      out the lights? πŸ’‘πŸš« πŸ€”πŸ•ΆοΈ

    1. Advertising executives … they put
the mad into Madison Avenue πŸ€ͺ

Now the bricks lay on Grand Street
      Where the neon madmen climb
They all fall there so perfectly
It all seems so well timed
An’ here I sit so patiently
Waiting to find out what price
You have to pay to get out of
Going through all these things twice

    1. Kurt Cobain didn’t have a gun when
Nirvana recorded ‘Come as You Are’,
(so he was telling the truth) but then
a friend bought him one. Probably
      intended as a humourous response
to the lyrics of that song πŸ€”πŸ•ΆοΈ
My grandfather kept his .22 rifle after
after the First Word War. He only used
it once after that. A burglar was silly
enough to climb through his lounge
room window πŸͺŸ late at night πŸ‘€ saw
my Grandfather aiming his rifle, and
      made a hasty retreat . . . ➑️ with
a piece of lead in his backside as
a momento. The police 🚨 later
      informed my Grandfather that
they would have to charge him
with assault if they ever found
the burglar! He told them to go look
      for someone limping and rubbing
      their arse 😎

  3. I’M ENVIOUS—ALL I COULD GET WAS A DAISY B-B GUN. MY WIFE WOULD NOT HAVE APPRECIATED MOST OF THOSE ADS—YOU BIG-TIME POETS DID ALWAYS GET THE CUTEST GIRLS. ME—I LOST MINE. AM SORT OF LOOKING FOR ANOTHER. JUST THINK—THE AK-47 AS AN ART FORM!

    1. Here’s another one for you, Kritika 😎

      There’ll be a time
      I hear tell
      When all will be well
      When God and man
      Will be reconciled
      But until men
      Lose their chains
      And righteousness reigns
      Lord, protect my child

      Perhaps I should have quoted
      Sheldon Cooper . . .
      “No, I don’t have a car.”

      1. Perhaps, that is a safe and good route my friend. I can’t believe how insane and abnormal everything has gotten. I have a car and I’m a little gun shy about going certain places and in public mind you. Just don’t give up hope. That’s probably all we have David. πŸ₯°πŸ™πŸΌπŸ’–
