Bushfire Sundown ~ Victoria, Australia.

I caught this Redback spider 🕷
hitching a ride in the boot of my car 🚙
trying to escape the fire no doubt 🔥
I didn’t have the heart to toss her out 🖤 😎

I said to this femme fatale . . .
“What a coincidence❗️
A Redback spider bite 🕷
sent me to hospital 🏥
in the back of an ambulance 🚑
just the other night 💉💪
It wasn’t you by any chance❓️” 🕷 👈 Without further evidence ⚖️
I accepted her plea of innocence
Be it wrong ❎️ or be it right ✅️ 🤔🕶

There’s just no winning 🥇
against that Spider Woman 😢🕶

  3. Hope you are ok. It’s strange that here in Victoria BC we are getting torrential rain of late. Pray for balance and good health. The spider is lucky to have gotten a ride out of the fire. Thank you on her behalf!

      My home state, Victoria, is way down
      south. Whilst bushfires have been
      rampaging here, up north there’s a
      cyclonic flood event happening 🌊

      according to the weather man,
      rain is on the way 🌧 😎 🌂
      After dropping that Redback off
      onto a nice bit of green grass, and
      watching it run away, Linda was
      surprised I had spared it to bite
      another day. All I could say was,
      “What would Buddha do?” 🤔🕶

    1. Apparently Black Widows and
      Redbacks are related, only they
      disagree about politics. So I guess
      they’re not so different to us 😎
      The fires are mostly now under
      control with a recent change of
      weather. We were getting days of
      over 110 degrees fahrenheit last
      week when the bushfires took off.

  17. I hope you’re okay. You guys do have dangerous things where you are. Beautiful spider but I hope I never see one in person. No trips to Chicago for her. Rite of Passage…uh, no. LOL Hope you get rain soon.

    1. A Redback stowaway got to Japan
      and now they’ve taken over the place.
      So you never know if one is going to
      hitch a ride to the U.S. 🤔 🕶 They do
      love to hitch-hike 😎👍 But fear not.
      They tend to hide away and mind
      their own business.

      get bitten, since there’s so many
      of the little blighters around here.

      1. That MAGA I can agree with. I ordered a pink tarantula from Walmart yesterday for Valentine’s day, and to help make arachnids great again. We have lots of black widows around here. Fortunately, they are shy, so few people are bitten by them. Speaking of shy, now that you are once bitten, you can be twice shy!

      irritating itch left at the bite site 😖🕶

  24. My first experience with this song was done by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band, whom I saw in concert.
    It’s amazing how many songs pop up by other artists– only to discover that Dylan was the creator.
    Certainly was a popular poet/songwriter. Thanx for the flashback, David.

      I was actually considering posting
      the Manfred Mann version of that
      Dylan song 🎵 ♥️ but it’s rather long.
      Hence the original shorter version,
      not wanting to test the patience of
      my long suffering readers 😎
      Dylan once gave a song to Joan
      Baez, but by the time she recorded
      and released it Dylan had completely
      forgotten that he had written it 🤔🕶
