I once had the privilege of attending
a Cure concert way back in the early
’80s. I had no idea that bass guitars πΈ
could be used to deafen a multitude π
but it was worth the hearing loss πΆ π
I don’t remember actually seeing the Cure back then (poor college student), but I remember listening to them. π§ π΅ I’m sure it was a great concert. π
A small venue, with excellent acoustics,
so there was nowhere for eardrums π₯
to run and hide π«πIt was soon after
the band’s release of their ‘Faith’ album
and as we were leaving a friend said to
me, “Faith is the cure!” . . . but I couldn’t
hear a word he said π
Just keep out of the Tiger enclosure,
Timothy βοΈ π― I spent many years as
a member of a Burmese cat clowder.
But since moving to a forest location,
surrounded by unique Australian bird
lifeπ¦ I now run with a dog pack πΆ π
only managing to catch the occasional
rabbit. Which is kosher since rabbits are
an invasive species here, damaging the
fragile ecosystem ππ«
( I guess we shouldn’t make fun of
someone with a speech impediment π
But I’m sure you know some hungry
felines who’d love some wabbit stew
too!? π πΊ )
CAT (P)TIVATING! The skull view near the beginning was a little disconcerting ’cause I love cats. In fact in Comparative Anatomy I had my lab partner skin the thing—I couldn’t do it! Even though I had to give up having cats, I refer to myself as a cat man and there have been clients that disliked me because their cats warmed up to me faster than they did them! Great illustrations and you didn’t look bad either. And CATMAN had a lady cat! How come I can’t get a cute sidekick like that for my crimefighting? What’s your secret, oh great artistic one?
Catnip, Jonathan π± π»
I grow it in my little hydroponic
garden, as it triggers a temporary
harmless euphoric response. The
cats like it too π It always leaves
them in a catatonic state πΉ
I suspect that much of Multiple
Michael’s purrfectly bedazzling
artwork can be attributed to the
copious consumption of catnip.
How else could he get all those
cats to pose for him? π€ πΆ
Β
Yes. I had a Burmese cat named
Nefertiti. Nobody bothered to tell
me that Nefertiti is actually an
Egyptian name? I guess geography
was not my strong suit, John π€ πΆ
So much character, mischief and creativity in these images β the white cat with the goldfish is especially memorable. A delightful tribute to our endlessly fascinating, unpredictable feline friends!
Most cool! π
