The contradiction
within creation
a perpetual balancing act
with the disharmony
of destruction
That spark of oblivion
as sharp as a knife
From every dimension
in every direction
a never ending question
Salvador Dali whispering
. . . “Everything
that is contradictory
creates life.”
Conformity is death
Imperfection breeding strife
The price
of doing business
in a cosmos
with chaos on the loose
Lost children
of the broken heart
running rife
aiming for the top
but missing the mark
given a front row seat
aboard a swirling vortex
as atoms are split
and galaxies drift apart
Resting in peace
all things eventually
returning to dust
Particles spinning
in an endless expanse
of nothingness
a Universe bleeding rust
… the corrosion of existence
As it was in the beginning
Adam and Eve starring
in a divine comedy
upon the stage of eternity
May the joke not be on us
the bitter
No keeping it sweet
In the audience
there is laughter
Being a guest of the host
of the here right now
and the here soon after
is the most … and a must
for all creation awaits
the Grand Designer
returning post-haste
with a celestial shout
All eternity flowering
throughout time and space
Love Divine
is the answer
never ending
beyond all reasoning or rhyme
from the One who holds
all things together
in a fashion wholly
and solely sublime
Mercy and grace
with power overflowing
The holy grandeur
of the greatest forever after ~ by David B. Redpath © 2022 “Every act of creation
is an act of destruction.”
~ Pablo Picasso Title Artwork;
‘The Ancient of Days’
~ by William Blake
I was grateful for the final stanza. (I thought we were going down the road of unremittingly depressing.)

Sometimes, whether to laugh or
cry is just a matter of perspective.
Maybe that’s the reason many
try to get high, irrespective 🙄 🕶️

hahahah; I get high on creativity, when I get a good poem out like the current one: or hearing a great song, going for a beach walk along the Great Southern Ocean; but then come the lows: guess they’re worth writing about too —

Divine comedy of Adam and Eve….
There is a symmetry and balance to this 🧡🧡

This existential comedy
does seem to be a duopoly …
Ying and Yang
Left Wing versus Right Wing
Male and Female
Physical and Spiritual
Ebony and Ivory
Perhaps we need a piece
of that power of Three?
The symmetry of Trinity 🤔
Thanks for the visit, Tanya,

This is great, your mind is always ready to write. I wonder if I will ever get there. May be some day. This is sweet. Linda is your muse. Scott is mine and the subject of most of my love poems. The others are of my first boyfriend, he was my safe place when I was a teenager living at home. May the blessings never stop, Amen to that David. God has sure been great to us. Big hugs to you and your beautiful muse. ❤️❤️🤗

Most of William Blake’s works
are watercolours on paper, so
you generally don’t find them hanging in art galleries, sadly.

Not to mention man’s never

Yes, loss and gain . . .
the process of transformation.
The new has come at the cost
of things left behind. With
every painting a clean white
canvas has been sacrificed
in it’s creation 🎨

Dear David,
Contra Versia is probably one of your best poems. Well done! I like the cosmic scale that it deals with.
Wishing you and your family a productive weekend doing or enjoying whatever that satisfies you the most, whether aesthetically, physically, intellectually or spiritually!
