In reference to one of your previous
posts, I had the opportunity to visit
Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory, whilst in Jaipur. It was
very impressive. We arrived in Jaipur
just in time for Makar Sankranti, and
the annual kite festival. The city was
alive with street performers, fireworks,
and kites … of course. Hoping to go
back to the Pink City one day.

The deeply spiritual materialism of
the season does need transcending.
