    1. Thanks, Bojana.
There is a longer version of that
quote, but I opted for the shorter
      one.
      William Blake’s ‘Ancient of Days’
is one of my favourite paintings.
As with Vincent Van Gogh, his
      genius wasn’t recognised till after
his passing. The fate of those
who are ahead of their time.

      1. How sad is that?! Speaking of which, did you watch Loving Vincent? Make sure you do if you didn’t so far. It’s an animated biographical film which offers a different version of his death. All along you have a feeling you’re walking through his paintings. Pure magic.

      2. It was a visual feast par excellence.
I’m convinced Vincent Van Gogh did
not shoot himself. There’s a theory
that it was actually his friend Paul
        Gauguin, a renowned swordsman,
who accidentally cut his ear off
during a drunken fight, and Vincent
covered for him by saying it was
        self inflicted. Otherwise Gauguin
would’ve been in big trouble with
the gendarmerie. So Van Gogh had
form for covering for other people’s
        mistakes.

    1. For some reason It’s been a bit
      frustrating lately for a ramblin’
      vagabond, Chel 🤔

      “It’s a dangerous business, Frodo,
going out your door. You step onto
the road, and if you don’t keep your
feet, there’s no knowing where you
      might be swept off to.”

  1. Hola querido amigo Redpath, I hope you have been well. Oh, I absolutely love the quote by
William Blake, isn’t that just the truth? Imagine all the people…clearing their mind…and imagine…what they would find:) I also love these photographs! Where did you take the first one? It reminded me of a temple I once visited in Singapore…ah those were the C-free-tea-under-an-Asian-tree-times 😛 Mil abrazos, dear Dylan-expert from Down Under 🤗🤗🤗

    1. Hola amics meus, Gypsy 💛
I took that first pic in Kathmandu,
after taking my first glimpse of the
      Himalayas 👁️🏔️👁️
      It’s interesting that many great
artists, such as William Blake and
      Vincent Van Gogh, were such
      eloquent writers.
      Salvador Dali, even Pablo Picasso,
had plenty to say. Observations of
      eternal relevance, extracted from
      this existence 🌈 🎨 ♾️

      1. Oh yes!! Ahh let’s invite all these artists over
        for an inspirational chat
because in truth what’s there to
        fret about
when the voices of love, inspiration,
        and beauty get loud ❤🙏😀
Mr. Redpath, I sincerely love your posts and vibe.
I would say, you are touched by and in-tune with
the divine – and that feels rather fine to witness
because hope is definitely your muse and mistress:) Big hugs amigo Mr. Redpath!❤️🤗

and much light at once… and this is a time of karmic reckoning…maybe…as the shamans of old predicted…yes…may the pandemic be over soon, and may every being learn from it in whichever way possible.. hugs!🙏

  3. Stunning photos. They put me in mind of this verse from Scripture. “Then Jesus said to them …’I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.”(John 10: 7, 9).

There are two towns in India where people do not have any lock in their house and in the shop. And till date there is no theft here. 1. Shani Signapur, Maharashtra, India, and 2. Bhaguda Village, Mahuva Tehsil, Gujarat, India.

  5. These pics are fabulous. Doors? We need a new word! So beautiful! Speaking of doors, I hear that the English words “cellar door” are the most pleasant to those who grow up speaking Romance languages. We could call these stellar doors. =) ♥.

    1. Thank you, Niki 🙏🚪
      I find the French words
“se la l’amour” to be very
      comforting. Especially
      when in the very romantic
      city of Paris 🇫🇷 ♥️ 😎
      where they keep plenty of
      vin behind the cellar door🍷

    1. Thanks Don.
You may be onto something 🤔
I am constantly having to tell
people to sling their hook, and
blog off. Perhaps I should also
      recommend exactly where to go.
After all, my site is not called
      Highway Bloggery for nothing 😎

How about a little retort you could keep up your sleeve for those who annoy you, like?:

        Thanks for coming, landing on

You’ve left your comment, thanks, (you shit)
        Blog off to buggery

OK David I know this sounds rough….but it’s true blue Aussie talk, yes?…

Just remembered WP won’t like it. Could suspend us. Shit David, talk about political correctness….. Nice rhyming doesn’t count WP? No? Worth a try David……

      2. Yes, sadly most of the blogging
citizenry of cyber space just don’t
get the Aussie sense of humour, or
        our backhanded complimentary
        commentary (especially those
        rambunctious over-sensitive yanks
… not meaning to racially profile
        anyone 😎).

  6. I thought that there would be some storm riding involved in this post, dear Redpath. The doors you showed us were more interesting than Jim Morrison. My mind conjured up so many stories. The door opening to a room full of jovial people was my favourite.
